Key Points

  • Tyler Moncrieff, known as Father Dust, is a Charlotte-based founder-operator working at the intersection of real estate tech, AI automation, web development, and music.
  • His main platform RankOps.net focuses on helping businesses improve visibility in AI-powered search (Generative Engine Optimization), organic ranking, and workflow automation using tools like landing pages, Google Apps Script, Make.com, and AI agents.
  • For Buy Sell Land NC LLC, he built a lean system for wholesale vacant land by automating county record scraping, extracting owner data into Google Sheets, managing seller intake, and tracking deals.
  • Under the Father Dust alias, he uses music as a creative lab and has introduced an “M3FFMU$iC AUTOLAB” workflow that automates YouTube album uploading, including clipping detection, gain adjustment, metadata rendering, video creation, playlist creation, and batch uploads.

Hey DEV community — name's Tyler Moncrieff. Most people online know me as Father Dust.

I'm a Charlotte, NC-based founder-operator who builds at the intersection of real estate tech, AI automation, web development, and music. I don't really fit in one box, and I've stopped trying.

What I'm Running

RankOps.net

My main service platform. I help businesses get found in AI-powered search (GEO — Generative Engine Optimization), rank better organically, and automate the workflows that are bleeding time. Think landing pages, funnels, Google Apps Script pipelines, Make.com automations, and AI agent setups.

Buy Sell Land NC LLC — buy-sell.land

I wholesale vacant land in North Carolina. But instead of doing it the old-fashioned way, I built the systems around it: AI-assisted county record scraping, owner data extraction into Google Sheets, seller intake workflows, and deal-flow tracking. The whole operation runs lean.

D3FFM3FFR3CORDZ — Father Dust

I've Automated the workflow to upload full music albums to Youtube with minimal effort or setup..
I produce, write, and release under the alias Father Dust and use it as a live creative lab for storytelling, brand building, and testing what actually gets attention.

Newest Workflow:

THE M3FFMU$iC AUTOLAB WORKFLOW:

  1. Checks EVERY Track in the Album for Speaker Clipping.
  2. Lowers Gain on ANY Track that Clips Speakers.
  3. Renders Metadata for ALL Youtube Descriptions/Titles.
  4. Renders mp3s->mp4s With Cover That Bumps with Subs.
  5. Creates a Youtube Playlist.
  6. Uploads Every Track of your Album To Youtube.

The Stack I Work With

  • Frontend: HTML, CSS, JavaScript — deployed on Cloudflare Pages
  • Automation: Make.com, Zapier, Google Apps Script, Python scripts
  • AI: Prompt engineering, AI agents, GEO/SEO workflows, lead enrichment pipelines
  • Data: Google Sheets as the backend, CSV pipelines, scraping workflows
  • Music: Suno.ai, DAW production, YouTube distribution

Why I'm Here on DEV

I want to document the real stuff, what it actually looks like to build multiple systems at once as a solo operator. Not the highlight reel. The messy, iterative, sometimes-broken-at-2am version.

Expect posts on:

  • Building AI workflows without a team
  • GEO vs SEO: what's actually changing in search?
  • Land wholesaling + automation (niche but real)
  • Scrappy web dev: Cloudflare Pages, no-framework builds
  • Running a music label as a systems problem

If any of that hits close to home feel free to follow along. I'm building in public!
