💬 OpinionSignals & Early TrendsTools & Practical Usage

Key Points

  • A Reddit user asks why “lemonade” is not discussed as much as alternatives like llama.cpp/llama swap despite appearing to be an obvious next choice.
  • The post suggests the project’s practical appeal may not match its visible community chatter on Reddit/YouTube, prompting questions about overlooked reasons.
  • The user provides context that they’re using a Framework laptop with significant memory for high-quality coding output, where speed is not the main requirement.
  • They also ask about technical capabilities (e.g., whether it supports RPC) and mention considering additional hardware for USB4/RPC use cases.
  • The post directly addresses the Lemonade team, indicating interest from early adopters and seeking clarification on adoption barriers or feature gaps.

I wanted to switch up from llama.cpp and llama swap, lemonade looks an obvious next choice, but for something that looks so good, it feels to get less reddit/youtube chatter than I would presume. Am I over looking anything why it's not used more ?

Lemonade team, im aware you're on here, hi and thanks for your efforts !!

Context for the question: framework desktop 128GB, using it for quality coding output, so speed is not a primary.

Q2: Google search is failing me, does it do rpc? I'm looking for an excuse to justify a second framework for usb4 rpc lol
