Key Points

  • The post argues that if large companies get prioritized access to the newest AI models for “cybersecurity,” they gain a durable competitive advantage over smaller challengers.
  • It questions whether Project Glasswing is effectively restricted to cybersecurity use cases, implying the restriction may be broader in practice.
  • The core claim is that early access allocation could function like anti-competitive “cartel” behavior within the AI/tech market.
  • The author frames the issue as a market-structure problem rather than a purely technical one, focusing on how access rules shape competition.

If the large companies always get access to the latest models first to "shore up cybersecurity" they will always have a head start on the competition and new contenders in the tech space.

If Glasswing is locked down to only be allowed for cybersecurity thats a different story but I doubt it is.
