Plan Restructuring
You.com Replaces Two-Tier Plan with a Three-Tier Structure
Free becomes a 25-query trial. Individuals get Pro; teams get Max at $200/month.
From Two Tiers to Three
You.com long ran a clean two-tier structure of Free and Pro. This update rewrites that skeleton substantially. The fully free plan has been discontinued and replaced by a trial that lets users sample Pro features for up to 25 queries. A tier that is permanently free no longer exists.
Pro continues to anchor the individual segment. And a new top tier has been added: the Max plan at $200 per month. Max is designed around team collaboration and high-volume query usage, a price band that clearly steers toward B2B and enterprise use.
Rather than a free-or-paid binary, the product entry has been redesigned into three stages that follow the usage journey: try, use individually, then use as a team.
How Each Plan Is Positioned
Trial
Individual / Team
Permanent free access is gone. The trial caps out at 25 queries.
Guidance by User Type
Try first
Use the 25-query trial to gauge Pro features. Not suited to ongoing use.
Individuals: Pro
For everyday solo use, Pro strikes the right balance of cost and capability.
Teams: Max
If collaboration or high query volume is the premise, consider Max at $200/month.
The bottom line: most individual users will settle on Pro. As its $200 price implies, Max is squarely aimed at enterprise and team use. Anyone who counted on permanent free access now faces a choice: stay within the trial limit, or move up to Pro.
