I know this is a big favor to ask, I’ve already asked my regular users to opt in fr this and only had 3 people willing. The rest of my user base chose to not opt in (understandable)but im working on improving the AI models behind my app and I need more real-world conversation data to train on.
If you’ve been in a long-term relationship (multiple years) and still have your text message history with that person, it could be extremely valuable for research. Most people delete old messages, so long conversation histories are rare.
If you’re willing to help, here’s how it works:
• You would export the messages from your phone and send the file to me.
• Before anything is used, an automated script removes all personal information — names, phone numbers, addresses, and any identifying data.
• No human will read the messages. Not even me. The system processes them automatically.
• After the information is scrubbed, the messages are shuffled and randomized so they cannot be tied back to any specific people.
The goal is simply to help the model learn patterns in real conversations so it can produce better relationship insights.
